Their jobs lead to lively conversation--from heart surgery to facial transplants to five alarm fire calls to all of them standing in line at Best Buy later that evening. The young ones play Wii, text friends to tell them how bored they are, and roam from group to group reporting on the pumpkin vs. the French apple pie.
Sweet Granddaughter #3, who had two surgeries within 36 hours just over two weeks ago, was looking especially healthy and beautiful!
The food was pot luck and especially good this year!! Turkey Cordon Bleu, broccoli pierogies, cornbread casserole, Kow Pad Thai (Thai DIL makes the best ever!), three types of stuffing, sweet potatoes like nothing I have ever tasted and a pie table that by end of day looked like a Texas tornado hit. (The final vote was for the pumpkin cheesecake pie).
I prayed for all of you, my dear blogging friends! I hope your Thanksgiving was as comforting and blessed as mine. I want you all to know that I am thankful for the virtual friendships we have struck and the exchange of kindness and love that continues on the knitting blogs. You are a special group!! Happy Thanksgiving...

What a beautiful family! Thank you for your prayers... must have been why I found my iPhone in the sand right at dark last night when I'd dropped it (unknowingly - thanks, Sissy) some 30-40 minutes prior.
That's scary. So glad you found it (or Sissy did)! I guess dropping it in the sand is better than dropping it in the pool as my DD did. I have a friend who dropped hers in the toilet. Don't know what to say about that!!
Oh so glad Grandduaghter is doing so well. She is beautiful. Glad you all had fun despite the on call business. IM so thankful for you Katherine!
