I love big surprises don’t you? Things that happen when I least expect a
wonderful surprise, delight me and often bring tears. Like this one that happened when our
granddaughter (#2) and her husband visited from Chicago last week. She said, “I have something for you Grandma,”
and she handed me an envelope. Inside
was this photo….
Yes bloggy-buddies I am going to be a
great-grandmother for the second time and it feels
g-o-o-o-d as we say here in Texas! Of course the soon-to-be grandmother and grandfather are over the moon!! Grandson #1 and his wife live in Chicago with our precious little great-granddaughter #1. Now great-grand??? will be right around the corner so to speak. I will not get to see either of them as much as I would like, but videos and photos will abound!

I always thought that when I reached
grandmother age I would be an old lady who sits in my rocker and knits all day—like
between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. after which I must sleep because
of my advanced age. Now that I am going
to be great-grandmother of two I have many complaints like the one I voiced to
DH today, “Holy Toledo I have been running all day and I have 5 more things to
do before I can stop. Will somebody please tell
the world that I am old and I can’t keep up this pace!!”
It’s all relative friends! You are what you believe you are and in the
absence of extreme health concerns, which I thank God I have none of at this
time, you can be all you want to be at any age.
Now THERE is a discovery for you!!
I hope to be on my feet moving right behind three year-old Adelyn and
the new little peanut for a long, long time!!
And working, and blogging, and chasing fur-kids, and knitting, and
cooking, and shopping (yea shopping!!) and so on and so on.
All that makes life very, very, very
good!!
