You get in a wild hurry to assemble needed travel "stuff" and something always happens. I cast on for the Lace Edged Sweater (Wendy Johnson) and started the first chart for the lace just to get a jump start and know where the sweater is going when I climb into the RV to ride and knit. Half way through the sixth chart row the cord end of my Knit Picks Options needle pulled out of the needle and stitches went everywhere. I'm thankful it didn't happen while we were bumping along on the road and I couldn't go the stash room and grab an Addi Turbo replacement!!
What is the message here? Only buy Addi Turbo needles? Don't leave home without replacement needles for ALL your projects? (That's a good one)! I don't know, but I am very unhappy with Knit Picks about now. Then I read that the same thing happened to Marti of It's Just Life blog. What's up with that? Maybe we bought into a bad batch of Options.
Anyway, by the time you read this we will be on the road and having loads of fun an interesting time. At least I will be knitting, barring unforeseen Addi Turbo malfunctions. DS#3 bought me new ear buds for my iPod so I will also be listening to good music, and with the download of two new books to my Kindle (Michael Connelly and Janet Evanovich), I will be reading myself into a good nap.

Life is really good!!
